Boiler Manufacturers

How to choose a manufacturer

There are many considerations when choosing an appropriate manufacturer. Some have better quality, history, and management than others. Some of the things you want to watch for are the following:

- History: You want to buy a boiler from a company that has a proven history in the market. The certifications, experience and reputation is essential when buying a new boiler. See the reviews on our forum or ask your questions HERE.

- Lead Time: You need to know when your boiler is going to be installed and account for the lead time. Often times, a manufacturer will give you a 6 week lead time and you will prep for a crane and installation for that 6th week. If things are delayed, it can get very costly. Ensure you are working with a reputable boiler manufacturer to get accurate lead times.

- Functionality of the options: Are you needing a simple boiler for production for your brewery or do you have to integrate with Building Automation Systems? Working closely with a manufacturer that knows what is needed is essential. Often times, manufacturers will be able to offer next generation boiler options, but they won't readily advertise it on their website. Be prepared to talk about the future needs of a boiler.

- Ease of maintenance: All boilers need proper maintenance. The ease of cleaning the boiler will either yield higher or lower maintenance costs. Like a pool at your home, without proper maintenance annually, you will have costly repairs down the road.

- Pricing: Of course price is on everyone's mind, but the up front cost may be higher/lower depending on the size and application of your boiler. You will also want to look at the running cost of the boiler.
